The Middle East is a region where vehicle is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.


But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have pushed up the price of oil, the of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.


In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is taking benefit of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving rewarding too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
